  • Great day out but make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking! First visit was about 6 years ago and so much has changed. Went with 13 and 9 year old. Is an expensive day out but...  more »
  • Let's start with the price, it is quite expensive if you go once and pay the 20 odd quid it is for a day ticket but if you pay £55 for a year pass it's so worth it. We had so many great days out all t...  more »
  • I enjoyed Howletts Wild Animal Park. It is different from other zoos I have been to as they don't just breed animals to exchange with other zoos, Howletts actually breeds animals to release into the w...  more »

  • Howletts is a great day out for all the family. Animals are well kept with some great interactions with visitors. Play areas for children should they get bored with the long walk around the park; including a tree top climbing experience where the staff are excellent. There is a limited shuttle service provided free from the park to and from the local railway station, which was well utilised on our visit. Overall a great Animal Park and one of the best we have been to.
  • Great day out. Fabulous value for money. Food in the Pavilion Restaurant was excellent, plentiful portions, all perfectly cooked and no more expensive than McDonald's.
  • A decent day out; but not excellent. Pros: 1. Clean and today park; well maintained 2. Some really impressive enclosures. Animals looked happy! 3. Tigers, elephants and gorillas were all great to see Cons: 1. Expensive 2. Lacking in kids activities. The one free play area was quite limited for a 7 year old and a bit too advanced for a 3 year old. It was a weird mix. It just needs more for children to do as we walked around (it's a big place; lots of walking involved) 3. Too many monkeys! It felt like every other enclosure was Moloch Gibbons and it started to feel like there was nothing else.
  • Wanted a fast visit and ended up staying 3 hours. Nice pleasant park with rare animals that my son enjoyed very much.
  • A wide variety of endangered animals. Nice to go midweek whilst kids in school. Staff friendly and very informative
