Oakwood Theme Park, Canaston Bridge

Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Originally a small family park, Oakwood Theme Park now offers large thrill rides and colorfully themed areas. If you're an adrenaline-seeker, hop aboard Megafobia. Many enthusiasts rate the 26 m (85 ft) tall wooden roller coaster among the best in Europe. On Speed, let out a scream as you take a 97-degree plunge on Britain's first Euro-Fighter roller coaster. Somewhat tamer pleasures await on waterslides and the swinging pirate ship. Head to the Neverland area for rides and attractions based on the world of Peter Pan. The park offers a handful of dining facilities serving up fish and chips, pasta, burgers, and chicken. Check the weather before your visit, as rides occasionally close due to high winds, thunder, or lightning. • A fantastic day out. Park was extremely quite which is a shame but all staff were very friendly and helpful. Only drenched was closed until 2pm when it did then open. We took our own food so can't comment on quality of food however prices did seem a bit high for what was on offer. The park has had some basic work done to it since my last visit a few years ago. Although more is needed to improve the overall appearance of the park. With a new area and roller coaster due to open later this year hopefully there will be a increase in guest numbers. Overall a great visit with lots of rides due to no queues. The annual pass is a fair price for what's on offer and after 4-5 visits the cost of the pass has been covered. With the new A road built nearby getting to the park is much easier.
  • Had some great rides but a few of them were not open even though advertised which was disappointing, annoyingly some of the attractions aren't included in the ticket price although they weren't really overpriced for what they had to offer (the crazy golf could do with a bit of a revamp though!). The food selection wasn't great, I would recommend taking your own food with you. I enjoyed my day there and enjoyed the attractions but I wish I could of experienced all of the rides especially as I payed full price for my ticket.
  • This was a dissapointing day out for our two family groups. We would have been hopping mad if it was not for fact we had Tesco vouchers so didn't pay a fortune. Visited during Easter break. The place was like a ghost town. I expected tumble weed. I am talking about the staff or lack of them. Half the place was shut and lots of attractions broken closed or you had to go at a certain time when staff could attend. Pretty disgusting and false advertising in my opinion. They even had wrong opening times so nearly 200 people waiting an hour for it to open. Needs a good kick up back side if it wants to stay open.
  • Absolutely shocking place to visit rides are tired and dirty. The log flume doesn't even open till 2. We were there by 12 done walking round by 1. Not waiting an hour for one ride. What place doesn't open rides till a certain time. £27 for each adult to get in that's disgusting price for what they offer. No queuing at all which is good but also shows how quite and disappointing this attraction is. Would avoid at all costs take your family somewhere else. Do NOT waste your money here. Burger place is 8.50 for a burger meal. Pretty sure alton towers don't charge that.
  • I come here every year for my birthday and I love it. The rides are great but a lot of the time the same rides are closed! Whenever I go bounce is always closed. Speed and megafobia are my favourites, they're great fun! I definitely think they need some new rides, especially thrill rides. Is a little bit overpricey but i think it's worth it for the fun experience. I only go there in Summer and they usually have amazing shows occurring and fireworks displays.
