The River Cam, Cambridge

(4.7/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
Relax along the The River Cam while watching punts (a long, narrow flat-bottomed boat) and other rowing vessels go by. This main river flowing through Cambridge in eastern England is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Take in the punting from afar or opt for a guided trip, so that you can admire the architecture, spot the Mathematical Bridge, or learn some history of the various colleges. Note that although it may seem expensive to take a punt out, the ideal shallow, gravelly conditions make it worthwhile. Spring and summer are the best times to visit, but be prepared for crowds. • Took a boat on the river cam. Come many and punt tickets sold on the streets near the information and look Japanese, and cheap to sell. However, on the info asked for tickets for the so-called official. 10 alone £ as neat, actually ride on the punt and punt official was guided. Around formal but polite in somehow, but there seems to be no punt was a decent Guide. Still, the cheaper the better person, street bargain tickets but have no problems with may. However, official boatman / Guide's, arms as well, with confidence, so we can catch up.

  • During a tour in Cambridge is possible go through several bridges over the River Cam. The wooden bridge shown in the photo is known as the bridge of mathematics. It is said that it was built and assembled without the use of screws and nails and that at one time, the engineering students took to studying it and failed to mount it again as it was originally assembled. You can make day trips to boats on the river. There are several people who offer the tour. I have no idea how much it cost, but it must be nice to to do the tour.
