  • We found the Folk Museum very interesting as most of the items on display were things we had in our family home when we were children. There was a party of 9-10 year olds in when we visited and they w...  more »
  • Solitary visit one afternoon, student price of £ 2 symbolism. Is not a must but it gives the opportunity to see old objects of Cambridge, there are several rooms themed according to the old parts of this stable. A bit cramped but with 2 floors, visit of about an hour. I think that visit it with children can be fun for them because there are activities intended for (see attached photo)

  • A most interesting visit, well recommended, worth the £4 fee. Also home of a most beautiful painting by Ward, a view of Cambridge a very long time ago.
  • Nice! Old things and stories. What more do you want?
  • I found the museum to be very interesting, I really felt engaged with the vibe and feel of the environment in the exhibition spaces, the content and the inspiration taken from the rooms. I particularly enjoyed the Childhood room and the exhibits that were there, as the room was a telling of Folklore and childhood history across the last three centuries that have been rooted in Cambridge. Very good museum and would recommend in you are looking for some good primary research and ideas based on Folklore in some capacity or studying a project on Folklore Customs (like I am).
  • Some good old artefacts here. Bit pricey for what it is though. (£4 per adult). Tea room only open at weekends!
  • Very cute, modest, little museum at a modest price. Plenty of well curated artifacts to keep you entertained for about an hour to an hour and a half. Stop in as you meander through Cambridge!
