  • The European Silver Fir was the highlight of this park. Such an amazing tree. The walk in this park makes me feel so alive despite the light drizzle. Nice array of flowers that cake the park with bril...  more »

  • We visited in late May, I would say it was just past it's best but still truly stunning. It's also a good walk round too and they allow dogs, so for us it was spot on. We saw red squirrels in the park...  more »

  • It's in a beautiful wooded valley with a rushing river in the bottom. A wealth of shrubs and trees with a network of paths. There is a gruffalo trail for children of all ages.
  • The colours were amazing this Autumn. I have a 'thing' about trees so I was in 7th heaven in this lovely garden. Wish I was a child again so I could find the Gruffalo on the Gruffalo trail but it was still magical for me. On a practical note, it had just the right balance of maintained and wild natural garden. Loved it.
  • Stunning place, no entry fee but donations are welcome (we donated £5 each). Well kept gardens with loads of interesting plants and trees. Followed the Gruffalo trail but didn't see one unfortunately 😉.
  • Great walk , beautiful plants / trees, very serene and sitting by the river and the old Mill was perfect. The Gruffalo trail is brilliant and we found where he was hiding. Great couple of hours spent here .
  • A beautiful woodland walk! Do the gruffalo trail with the kids, enjoy the wonderful bird song, admire the trees and plants! Well worth a visit!
