  • Amazed that this important garden was buried until 2000. The gardens and grottoes are fabulous for children as well as plant lovers. Exactly the right amount of walking through all the different areas...  more »
  • If you like visiting gardens (and even if not) this an astonishing place, and as good a garden as you could wish to see. The hidden treat is the series of grottoes and caves underneath. It’s also the ...  more »
  • A real gem I wish I had visited a lot earlier. Even though it was raining torrentially after we arrived, the clever layout, grottos and shelters meant you could wait or keep exploring. Reasonable pric...  more »

  • Lovely and peaceful place to walk around and explore. Went during the afternoon on a weekday when it was nice and quiet, we were pretty much the only ones around. Only downside was there wasn't much to do and not that big. It's okay if you are nearby and want to enjoy some nature and relax, or take the kids on an adventure for an hour. But wouldn't travel from Cardiff to go there again with the petrol cost and entry fee, not really worth it.
  • Marvelous! Very peaceful, with lovely walks. The gardens were gorgeous and I gained several ideas about planting. I especially liked the grottoes and the ferns. Access was a little tricky for those with difficulty walking, but we were warned in advance and with plenty of benches dotted around, we could rest easily when necessary. I'd highly recommend a visit.
  • Great find. Felt like being a kid again. Amazing to understand that this place was almost lost. Would recommend for families or big kids alike. Plenty of parking and a cafe on site.
  • Interesting grottoes, ponds and gardens- very pleasant. Small cafe does excellent light snacks. Clean accessible loos.
  • Great place to spent with family. Great gardens. Had a wonderful time spent. Nicely maintained. Underground(artificial) caves looks authentic.
