  • A very interesting place to visit on the outskirts of Caernarfon.The Romans never reached Ireland. There to see here then the Caerhun Roman Fort (Canovium) overlooking the river Conwy.  more »

  • This was actually pretty disappointing as a historical attraction, but that might have been because I'd just been to the castle and I'm not really a fan of Roman history anyways... Basically, a small interpretive centre with some artifacts, and then a bit of a grass field with stone channels. Not terribly well protected; there were some local kids acting up on the site, and bits of broken glass around. Probably a better visit if you get a guided tour and/or visit first before the overwhelming castle experience...

  • A fascinating site but sadly lacking g in any useful (or indeed, any at all) interpretation or on site information. Could be so much better with some imagination and at little cost.
