  • An experiance well worth the visit. The Roman baths have a special effects water effect. The museum is light and welcoming with seating well placed. It is also full of information. The nearby amphithe...  more »
  • Four sites all free well laid out well signed really enjoyed our time here. Ok it's not Pompeii or Bath but a great insight into the Romans in Wales and as said before it's all free.  more »

  • What a gem of a place, the entire village is a treasure trove of Roman goodies. A little but very interesting museum, a fantastic building that contains the remains of the Roman baths and sports arena, then the amazingly intact amphitheatre! If you have an interest in Roman artefacts and history in general, this is a great place to visit. The kids should like it too, especially the interactive parts!
  • The baths here are absolutely amazing - well worth a visit. Sheer scale of them is hugely impressive. The museum just up the road is informative and interesting, and the ruins of the fort just further on also worth a look.
  • I love Caerleon! I helped excavate part of the fortress in 1980. Look out for the bronze duck in the museum - I found it! Besides that, the town has several good pubs!
  • Free to enter, this is larger inside than it appear from without. a fantastic site which has great educational interpretations and plenty of relics to handle and examine.
  • Fascinating day at Caerleon. Great family day out.
