  • It's a bit of a hike up to the top of the town, but once your up there the view is amazing, and it's all free. Where else can you get a 360 degree view over a great little town, well worth the climb.  more »
  • Whilst in Buxton we come across this walk, so parked up for the day which covered us for the parking for the Poole cavern aswell. It's a lovely walk up to Solomons temple, was a bit windy when we head...  more »
  • Short, and steep at end - this walk allows a 360 view of Buxton and the surrounding area. It's very windy on top, so be prepared to hold onto your hat, and bring something warm to wear. The stairs up ...  more »

  • Up high on the hill with a beautiful tranquil panoramic view, it has plenty for the little ones to explore. Parental supervision is essential as the steps inside are steep.
  • For walking the pooch or escaping the busy world, plus keeping fit this is the place to go. Watch the weather come in and out. Enjoy the views & just be thankful you are alive.
  • Bit of a trek but well worth it at the top. You can see the bowl that the town if Buxton sits in. You can view the whole of the town. Learn the history of the site on Info Boards, both around the site and throughout the woods.
  • Fab place to have a walk. Beware though it it steep and anyone with mobility issues will need help to get to the temple.
  • So, the place deserves a visit as it gives you the chance to walk through the woods, get away from the noisy city life and view Buxton widely. The way to the temple is not difficult but I needed boots because it was muddy.
