  • Great castle in easy to reach location. Staff are really friendly and keen to help. Castle is well presented with enough information boards. Great way to spend an hour or so.
  • Loved this place. Pronounced 'Broom' according to the lady at reception! Lots of nooks and crannies to explore and plenty of information boards telling of its varied history. Spent just over an hour here.
  • Good ruin to visit with excellent historical information. Importantly you can climb up the main remaining building :-)
  • Because we like it, kiddy friendly, nothing to break, dog friendly and come soon before the river makes the whole place fall in to the water
  • Been here twice - once in the sunshine, once in the rain. History is very interesting. Well maintained by English Heritage.
