Avoncroft Museum Of Historic Buildings Reviews
Perfect place to visit on a sunny day. Walking around the historic buildings and learning more about history. Truly enjoyed the visit and they've done a fantastic job keeping the site spotless. The mi... more »
A pleasant time. Took roughly 3 hours to walk around. Some interesting exhibits particularly the pre-fab. Think we picked a bad day as there were no demonstrations i.e Blacksmith or brick making. I am... more »

Fully recommend going here for a good day out with lots of cool historical things to learn. The coffee shop is great and the grounds are lovely. It is nice to not just be in a museum, but actually walk around a site with various buildings modelled on historic buildings and then you can go in. There are loads of events here and often re-enactments which is cool. Recommend.
Excellent venue for a wedding. Felt really welcome and comfortable at the wedding. Plenty of outdoor space for children to play and excellent staff there. Had a miniature ride on train which was excellent for children and adults alike. Didn't really have chance to look round the museum as we were only there for a wedding.
A fantastic place to visit. Very interesting if you like historical buildings and if you are not then you may well be when you leave. Great for all ages and fab when people in period costumes are at hand to ask as many questions of as you like.
Brilliant for craft classes! Lavender wand making, corn dolly making, Christmas wreaths, herbal remedies... great tea rooms and wonderful museum too.
Great place to explore, lots of old buildings, old telephone boxes, tea room, lovely staff. Great when an event is on as lots to do, pony rides, train rides, fairground rides and games, face painting, activities by Avonctoft to make things and sometimes re-enactment. Family pass is excellent value as is valid for 5 people for a year, includes event days.
