  • We used the spa every day during our stay Careys Manor. We used the alpha sphere, had a facial and a massage which were both excellent, used the hydrotherapy area and had a Rhassoul mud session. We...  more »
  • Shell massage great. Some areas need a complete update, especially changing rooms. Disappointing not to be able to eat at the Spa and had to go to hotel. However, lunch was superb. Overall a good day....  more »
  • We visit once a year because it is such a special place. Usually in November for birthdays or December for New Year but this time we went for 3 days in September. Amazing as ever. Had a day in the incredible Spa and ate in the Thai and French restaurants. Will continue to return as it’s our “happy” place. Love the fact so many of the staff are the same from our first visit... the staff are exceptional.
  • Please don’t be fooled by the photos! This hotel is showing its age! The rooms are more premier inn than luxury spa. We also booked two days here and only found out on arrival that we had to pay an extra £27 each per day on top of our booking to use the sen spa facilities! We had access to the main pool area, but this was no better than my local gym. Breakfast was also very premier inn. Not what you would expect for £300 a night. There is little of the original manor left, just lots of 1970 corridors. It’s not all bad however; The staff were all lovely; our evening meal was great. We definitely wouldn’t return. The hotel seem to cater more for day spa guests, hotel guests seem to be secondary.
  • Lovely old manor and spa. Pleasant and very courteous staff - nothing too much travel. Great garden views from room. Rooms clean and tidy with Freeview TV, telephone, minibar and safe. Three restaurants each with authentic menus. Free car parking, although this can be very busy on days that they host conferences making parking difficult on return from a day out. Buffet breakfast is OK but not the best we've experienced in the past especially eggs - unless you order these from the kitchen, which they are happy to do. All in all a really nice place to take a break.
  • Good rooms, the garden views is a must even though it's basic. The grounds itself is fairly small. However the main purpose of the hotel is the spa. The spas are excellent and when booking you have to get the hydrotherapy add on. Your missing out on half the experience if you don't get the hydrotherapy. With just booking the rooms you get access to three restaurants and the pool (gym too I believe). But with the hydrotherapy you get access to a whole back area with ice showers, pool with jets, quiet areas, relaxation room with complimentary tea coffee all day. Basically you have to get the hydrotherapy pack . Definitely worth it. Also you can purchase extra spa treatments massages etc (we didn't do that though). Afternoon tea was good, but no the best. Very generous clotted cream, but I'm a big fan of the jam with seeds (this jam was not as strong as I would like). Service was excellent. Friendly and kind so no very nice. Great breakfast selection with custom kitchen orders available as part of the package. Situated within New forest you can do walks etc. In short if you stay here overnight you have to get the hydrotherapy add on. Good food and good service overall.
  • Rooms are way dated and not worth 280 a night. Great location great spa but travelodge would be faction of the price. Oh, food ain't great either. Pop in to forest park 5 minute walk much better.
