Brixham Harbour is the "Mother of Deep-Sea Fisheries," the home of the improved trawler, and the lifeblood of the city. The fish market is open to the public on only two special summer days every year. During these 48 hours, would-be fishermen and women buy fresh catches and receive instruction on cleaning and cooking from the fishery experts. Visit the harbor on any day of the year for a view of the port and to taste the catch of the day at a local restaurant. Make Brixham Harbour a centerpiece of your Brixham vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Brixham trip itinerary builder.
