  • Lovely place to visit and walk the dogs. Also the Guard House restaurant is a fabulous place to eat and relax in. The food is excellent and the coffee is 1st class.
  • "COASTAL CLIFFS" that are millions of years old, with panoramic views of 'sunrises and sunsets'. "WILD SEA BIRDS", "GUILLEMOTS", "GANNETS" (up to ten at a time), "FULMARS", "KITTIWAKES", "GREATER and LESSER BLACK BACKS", "BLACK GUILLIMOTS", "HERRING GULLS", "BLACK HEADED GULLS", the occasional "CONTINENTAL GULL", "SWALLOWS", "SWIFTS", "HOUSE MARTINS", "JACKDAWS", "CROWS", "BUZZARDS", "MAGPIES", "BATS", TAWNY OWLS", "SONG BIRDS", (some of which are 'specially protected), and can be heard 'merrily singing', above the 'gregarious calls' of the "GUILLIMOTS". "INSECTS and BUTTERFLY'S" can be seen during the summer months. "SEABORNE MAMMALS", "GRAY SEALS", "DOLPHINS", can be seen all year round. (you would be well advised to leave these lovely creatures alone, as a "LARGE BULL" "GRAY SEAL", might decide to jump into your boat for your fish, as seen on the web, (even "SHARKS", have been know to do this, with one of the fishermen jumping overboard to escape). A "DOLPHIN", (up to 100 hundred have been 'recorded' passing "BERRY HEAD". I have seen 50 in three 'pods'), can disable a "GREAT WHITE SHARK", so they can quite easily put a 'hole' in the side of your boat. "BASKING SHARKS" are sometimes seen, along with "LARGE JELLYFISH", ("MAN OF WAR"), and these are quite mobile.....You might experience 'extreme wind and sea conditions' during the winter months, with dramatic fog bank auroras........... A photographic delight for 'beginners and professionals'.......The views from here are as far as "WEYMOUTH" and "HAYTOR on DARTMOOR"............................Come and watch the "SUNRISES" and "SUNSETS" at "THE NAPOLEONIC FORT", which is an extensive feature of the area......."A NUCLEAR BUNKER" for "OBSERVERS" can also be viewed, (from the outside only), as part of the "HISTORIC SOUND TOUR" of "THE BERRY HEAD NATURE RESERVE"......."A NATURE RESERVE", that supports many "WILD LIFE SPECIES", with the help of "ENTHUSIASTIC WARDENS" and many other "VOLUNTEERS"......
  • Beautiful place to chill out enjoying coastal views, nature and some lovely walks. Car park is reasonable priced too. Guardhouse cafe offers some nice food with friendly service too.
  • A working lighthouse, and a fantastic view. What more could you ask for? Lots to see and do and a great way to walk off the cake you'll no doubt have already eaten.
  • Good, efficient and friendly service. Fantastic cakes. Amazing coastal and sea views.
  • Great area and good for a quite walk or group walk, the view from the cliffs are amazing as well.
