  • Beautiful building with architecture well worth seeing. Stunning ceilings and stonework. Would definitely like to go back when it is less busy.
  • We had a large group of international students to visit the University. Gary gave an excellent tour, it was was very informative but also fun and interactive. Our favourite part was ringing George the...  more »
  • Went with friends on the tower tour. The guide was fun and kept things interesting and the group moving along. The view from the top is well worth the climb (assuming you are fit enough of course). Wo...  more »

  • Visited on the hottest day of the year but those old fashioned thick walls and high ceilings ensured a very pleasant interior. Amazing what tobacco money can do!
  • Bastion of legal education; fabulously friendly, helpful porters in the atrium lodge; stunning building and a whopping great big, loud bell. What's not to love?
  • Beautiful building that belongs to the University of Bristol. For student and staff day-to-day use, but also for public events. This venue can also be hired. Houses one Gromit from Gromit Unleashed. :)
  • Beautiful 20th century building with classic gothic architecture. Go in for a tour (only about 4 quid) that lasts an hour and takes you all through the building and up to the top of the tower for a birds-eye view of Bristol. You'll get to hear Great George (the bell) ringing up close and personal, which is a cool experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Donations and 50% of the money goes to charity, which is even more of a reason to want to go!
  • Ah, the double doors of doom! At least that is how they feel too many a student who will sit exams in there. Besides being a university building housing the law library, council chamber, and common rooms, it is also a centre for public events and there are many talks and careers fairs held here throughout the year. Some events are purely for students but there are many that are open to the public. There are tower tours too but I have not tried one because it seems a bit expensive to me.
