  • Really nice pub over a couple of levels next to the historic Christmas steps. Good wine and beer selection too. The food menu looked good too although I was not hungry so did not sample any.
  • Pub was ok, staff were quite rude the time I went there. Being very grumpy when I asked for our candle to be relit. Bearing in mind how low the lights are (in a good way) this was not an unreasonable request. Didn't try the food but there was a great fish and chip shop next door
  • Good homemade food and decent selection of drinks
  • Good Sunday roast. Excellent meat, but could have done with a few more veggies (or at least the option to add some!)
  • If you like IPAs you'll love the Christmas steps
