  • The nice thing about it is that it hasn’t changed a bit since I started visiting here with my Nanna in the 1980s. The bad thing is that its the same old, same old. The ornate toilets are worth using.....  more »
  • I booked this on line for me and my son and messed up the booking. I contacted the museum and they helped sort it out and I had no problems getting in. The staff and exhibits are amazing we walked....  more »
  • Spent a couple of hours in here on a rainy day. Quite a small museum compared to some but lots to see. A magic exhibition was not what I expected, although very interesting but i think should be...  more »
  • Had time to kill in Bristol, so I toddled off to see the museum and gallery. Was pleasantly surprised to find it to be well suited for both me and the kids. Plenty of art and interesting pieces for an older crowd, while the dinosaur exhibition was a hit with the kids. You can get food there, pretty standard museum fair. Will be taking the kids there again for sure.
  • My 4 year old nephew and I spent the day here today and we loved every second! The staff are SO lovely and helpful! We got lost several times and they were always there to explain something or point us in the right direction. The cafe is a lot cheaper than I remembered also, once again the staff were very helpful
  • Only a short visit of the exhibits as was part of a group of 110 persons who were having a black tie dinner in one of the halls, but what I did see was well laid out and with information that allows you to put the exhibits in context. The dinner was excellent, dieterary needs well taken care of and service good - as was the food. The majesty of the building and the halls made for a very impressive location to have a formal dinner. Excellent.
  • As usually a very interesting place with many exhibits, a good cafe and lots for children to see do and explore. This time we mainly looked around the Assyrian and Egyptian this time but there's much much more on offer. And of course free entry.
  • Visited here during a weekend away for my birthday. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Exhibitions were great, my favourite was the Egyptian area. Great for everyone, audio description and interactive sections for a younger audience !! Room 6 contains some glorious paintings! Rossetti - A Portrait of Louisa Ruth Herbert, Dicksee's La Belle Dame Sans Merci are just two of the highlights. There are at least a dozen works that make a visit an absolute must. A delightful museum and gallery.
