  • We visited late in the day and heard the shark talk, which was great, if not a bit louder than it needed to be. The 'outdoor' bit looked a little tired, but maybe it was less interesting as the fish r...  more »
  • Great place to visit on a rainy day being all indoors and close to car parks etc. The best bit is the talks / feeding sessions which are informative. The actual fish on display are in the main on the ...  more »

  • Excellent day out for a family. My two daughters, 3 and 6 years old, absolutely loved visiting. There were plenty of excellent displays with a large variety of aquatic species to be seen. It is all enclosed so rain can't spoil your day, the displays are all laid out along a predefined route and excellently presented. There are also several talk and feed sessions throughout the day where a member of the team will talk through some facts about a species and feed them. We were able to watch a talk and feed of their Leopard Shark. It was very informative and the staff member was engaging, keeping everyone interested for the duration. The cafe on the way out had a small children's play area and colouring paper & crayons, prices seemed OK. All in all we spent 4-4.5 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed it.
  • Smaller the some other aquariums in uk but so much more worth it!!! Definatly worth a visit with you little once, good prices and lots to do inside. Once the tour is over you left with plenty to do around the centre as Bristol is packed with attractions and things to do nearby Aquarium. A strong A++++++
  • Great aquarium. Some of the tabks could do with a bit of a scrub. Great marine life display and they've done so much given the relatively limited space
  • My 5 year old loved it. Very helpful staff and good selection of exhibits. Easy to park close by. Will be visiting again
  • My 9yr old son had been here on a school trip and wanted to visit again. Took the opportunity on a rainy Saturday in August to amble over around lunchtime, had some lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants on the river, and spent a pleasant afternoon taking in all the marine wildlife. It' one of those places where the amount of time you spend there depends on your level of interest, but there's not more than a couple of hours for most people if you don't get involved with any activities. They cater to you children pretty well, and we looped around to catch the leopard shark feeding. The shark wasn't that hungry, but it didn't matter because the lady giving the talk was very knowledgable and obviously passionate about sharks, so I was happy to stand, listen and learn, as were my sons. They've done a pretty good job but there are areas for improvement that I would hope to see over coming years as it develops. Nothing major, mainly refinements, although the labelling of many tanks did seem to be a bit lacking. Children both had a great time and I found the whole affair very relaxing. The big window tank at the end of the loop is lovely but the area is a bit tight as people understandably want to stop there before leaving and just stare at the creatures within. Definitely recommended.
