Where to stay in Brighton

During the height of the tourist season and on most weekends Brighton is a very congested city, where driving is difficult and parking is limited in the central areas most frequented by tourists. Avoid getting stressed out by staying at a self-catering apartment or a private B&B farther away from this part of town. Brighton's famous nightlife may be a bit far from there, but you can still enjoy seafront walks, good restaurants, and excellent shopping. Private seafront lodgings allow you to enjoy your stay quietly in comfort, while remaining within walking distance of Brighton's best beaches.

  • This stands out like a sore thumb - nothing really attractive or appealing about it...not sure why its there either  more »
  • Excuse the pun but the Doughnut is in need of a bit of repair. On both sides there are bits missing from the sculpture. That said it is a different statue and you can take your picture next to or thro...  more »
  • What a fun spot to be in. Had a few photos done and then looked around, everything you could want is a stones throw from this big rock donut. A must for photos when in brighton  more »

  • Very greasy doughnuts, but on a cold winters day, a hot bag of anything is appreciated. Not good for you, but filling and warming
  • It is tradition if you visit the pier you must get the doughnuts
  • Hot fresh donuts. Always great. Avoid sauces for your donuts
  • Nice for a quick snack
  • Maybe it's because I don't have any childhood memories associated with it, and I visited on a freezing foggy day when everything was shut, but I don't get the big deal about Brighton Pier. I can imagine that in the summer it's wonderfully tacky (and BUSY) - vanilla ice cream, fish & chips, kids on fairground rides, etc. But it isn't something I'll go out of my way to visit next time I'm in Brighton.
