Where to stay in Brighton

During the height of the tourist season and on most weekends Brighton is a very congested city, where driving is difficult and parking is limited in the central areas most frequented by tourists. Avoid getting stressed out by staying at a self-catering apartment or a private B&B farther away from this part of town. Brighton's famous nightlife may be a bit far from there, but you can still enjoy seafront walks, good restaurants, and excellent shopping. Private seafront lodgings allow you to enjoy your stay quietly in comfort, while remaining within walking distance of Brighton's best beaches.

  • There are lots of different sections to the park, secluded bits, huge family areas and sporting grounds. It's a real sun trap in summer and looks gorgeous in the autumn. Always pleasant to wander through or sit for a picnic. A popular dog walking spot!
  • Lovely Green Park and Lovely Trees WildLife plenty to see. Even got a very good Play Area for Children. A nice cafe for informal cup of tea and light lunches. A beautiful park for the blind with herbs with lovely smells. Disabled friendly.
  • Lovely, slightly hidden, park in Hove. Great history, has some interesting information plaques around. Good playground. Also has a permanent orienteering course, but a couple of controls were missing when we did a course. Maps are on the Brighton and Hove city council website.
  • I live this park. Very pretty and has everything you need. Cafe, toilets, park, shade, private areas. I once went to a wedding here and it was beautiful.
  • A very comfortable place for a snack, read and chill. A good range of food. A nice mix of tables to be seated at or sofas and outside seats. Good and friendly service.
