Where to stay in Brighton

During the height of the tourist season and on most weekends Brighton is a very congested city, where driving is difficult and parking is limited in the central areas most frequented by tourists. Avoid getting stressed out by staying at a self-catering apartment or a private B&B farther away from this part of town. Brighton's famous nightlife may be a bit far from there, but you can still enjoy seafront walks, good restaurants, and excellent shopping. Private seafront lodgings allow you to enjoy your stay quietly in comfort, while remaining within walking distance of Brighton's best beaches.

  • Small friendly and informative service provided with interesting exhibitions and children's activities. There's a tea shop on site.
  • Nice range of things, a good, yet small exhibition downstairs and upstairs is a massive floor of old film, pictures and old toys. Very well presented. Cafe offers nice breakfast, light lunch and afternoon tea. Great for kids. Overall a good stop on a trip to the Brighton area.
  • A small but informative museum with interesting local artefacts. Simple layout - family friendly. Very popular airy cafe. Easy to find.
  • It's a lovely place but just to small to be a really good museum and too much unused space
  • A really interesting exhibition on story-telling at the moment. Lovely red cabbage soup in the cafe too.
