My friends and I come to Brighton races every year for the August 3 day festival and this time I am sad to say that we did not have the best of times. The terraced bar now has the awful Shipyard Pale ...  more »

Hospitality was great and the staff were brilliant. Silks restaurant offers good qualify for and open access to the course on a private balcony overlooking the finish line. We will absolutely be back....  more »

Being an avid racing fan Brighton ticks all the boxes. Premier badge for 4 plus a bottle of champagne only £100 which is great value for money. Very good views, reasonably priced food and drink too.  more »

Brilliant days racing, Silks restaurant superb food and first class service. Recommend the pre race tour. Very informative.

The bar here is abysmal and that's nothing against the staff, ever since they changed brewery they can't keep up with the demand. They are constantly running out of Budweiser and they have a lot of different tags over the top of some of the taps, not even the staff know what they're serving, how are customers supposed to know? It's a shame as the course and staff are great but I can only give 2 stars for such a terrible bar/supplier.

Went racing at Brighton for the first time loved the venue great views out to sea and across the surrounding countryside but the racing was a bit of a joke 18 non runners and one race with only two runners?

Holiday atmosphere. Free bus to racecourse from near Railway station. Great view on good days.

Went for the car boot sale, seemed like a good place to make some money out of your house clearance. Entry fee was £10, we arrived at 8am. It was a foggy, windy day therefore not as busy as we hoped for. There was a food one selling hot food and drinks, toilet facility right behind it. It is a good pleace to look for cheap furniture, clothes brick a brack, sweets, unusual trinkets... Anything goes really. Recommended for making some extra cash or a morning out flea shopping.

Where to stay in Brighton

During the height of the tourist season and on most weekends Brighton is a very congested city, where driving is difficult and parking is limited in the central areas most frequented by tourists. Avoid getting stressed out by staying at a self-catering apartment or a private B&B farther away from this part of town. Brighton's famous nightlife may be a bit far from there, but you can still enjoy seafront walks, good restaurants, and excellent shopping. Private seafront lodgings allow you to enjoy your stay quietly in comfort, while remaining within walking distance of Brighton's best beaches.
