  • A beautiful park all year round. Suitable for all the family. Many great events held here too.
  • This is a favourite park for locals from miles around. Set on the western bank of the River Ogmore, this park contains Bryngarw House, which is a favourite wedding venue, set as it is in beautiful surroundings. It is a nexus for a surprising number of footpaths, rights of way and a cycle path through miles of lovely mature deciduous woodland. It is not absolutely clear where the park's boundaries are. If it is fenced at all, it seems more of a symbolic gesture towards a representation of a fence. There are areas of marshland (with raised timber causeways), woodland, meadow, oriental garden and formal lawn. Oh and a large duck pond with some rather arrogant waterfowl who have annexed the overlooking bench. There is a large field for barbecues, picnics and outdoor games, right next to a decent adventure playground for kids with a massive slide, rock climbing and suchlike. Keep a lookout also for the four nature keeper statues (of which I am sure 3 are the Celtic God Cerne, the Goddess of spring Ostara and a Naiad) Entry is free, but parking is not. Last time I paid it cost around £2 for the day. There is a cafe kiosk with limited, but sufficient choice and an information kiosk. Good access for the physically infirm and wheelchairs to most (but not all) parts of the park. You don't need to be particularly fit to explore the whole park, but you can make it challenging for yourself if you are of a mind to. Family friendly, dog friendly, this is a great little resource. The biggest challenge is access to it through the winding, badly parked on streets of Brynmenyn and Tondu. But if you take it carefully, are not too pushy and don't look directly in the eyes of some of the angry goblins competing for your road space, it's not too bad.
  • I phoned them and booked for barbecue grill but when we arrived no one there poor customer service, we return back to train station Without doing our barbecue!
