A nice little castle, far more interesting on the inside than the outside. The guided tour was excellent and well worth the £8 entry price.
Far more interesting, far more informative and far more intimate than the balmoral down the road. Entertaining ang knowledgeable guides, couldn't recommend it more highly.
Much more intimate look at the history. Smaller and less touristy. So glad we stopped by. Had a great audio tour that gave a lot of good history on the location.
I was a bit late on time to get to my destination, so unfortunately i was only able to take some nice photos from the outside. But according to their website there is and admission fee of £12/10. Most of the comments here in tripadvisor say it worth going in. Maybe next time i will try the tour.
Joena JeßIt should be just a short detour and became our highlight! It is not the largest of its kind, it may be not the most spectacular, but by far the 'loving' Castle in the area. We learned infinitely also thanks to Mandy, our German support and guide through the Castle. Historical, social, and a little gossip throughout the ages across more along the way. We come back definitely!show original
