My youngest has been to the summer scheme three years in a row - she absolutely loves it! They have a good range of animals and activities, staff are really positive - she's always keen to go again :)
The play barn is a amazing! Absolutely superb for children's parties...my daughter has had her's there and we've been to numerous others as well. The children and adults have always had a fantastic day.
The best farm park by far in the area; clean and tidy, great facilities, lovely friendly staff and great value for money too. Lots of nice picnic areas and great home made food in their time room at reasonable prices. we particularly liked how well organised and supervised the indoor play area was - it was very busy the day we visited and the staff made sure all the children were being properly supervised!
fantastic. Have taken school children here on trips twice and it was excellent. Great value and fab in the spring time. Children adore this place. It is clean, very very safe and meets all school related health and safety. A wonderful day out can not beat it!
Yesterday (29/02/12), I visited St Leonard's Farm Park with my two grandchildren aged 2 & 4 and was very disappointed with what I saw and experienced. There weren't many animals around outdoors, although there were animals inside the sheds that the children could stroke. However it was in other areas that I had most concerns. To say this was the start of a new season, I was appalled at the state of the toy equipment in the outdoor area. They were worn out and/or damaged. I know that ride ons take a hammering, but surely one would expect a policy of checking and renewing on a weekly, if not daily basis. and that equipment would be renewed at the start of a new season. There were health and safety issues that I observed, that were not good. In the straw barn play area, the bales were beginning to come apart, exposing the binding cords which are serious trip hazards for little feet. I also observed adults running around the barn chasing their own children with little regard for the safety of other small children. There were sharp metal parts on an old tractor, and I mean sharp! .A see-saw had loose nuts and bolts holding the fulcrum together, a bit of a lash-up to say the least. Overall I was very disappointed with our visit, and I doubt that we shall repeat the experience in a hurry. I wouldn't in all honesty recommend this farm until they get their act together. Just as a final point, I wonder how long ago that this place was given the award that they speak of in their advert??
I took my children to this farm today after researching it on the net, we paid nearly £17 to get in & noticed almost straight away that there was hardly any animals there, the play barn needs serious attention as my children were both injured by ADULTS running about as well as children, the exits were totally blocked by prams, it was unsafe!! I took my children out and tried to complain but the two men in charge of this death site was very rude & pushed me out, & refused point blank to refund us or give my children a apology, utter disgusted!!! Never again! S sharp
