  • I've always enjoyed a walk in Lister Park. On a recent visit we hired a pedalo and had a nice meander round the lake amongst the ducks and geese. There's also a playground and Cartwright Hall, which not only has art exhibitions but also puts on the occasional concert. Well worth a visit.
  • We went on a day there was a fair. Rides were priced well with a good mix for children young and older. Kids had a brilliant time. Cartwright hall museum is in the grounds of the park, a cafe and boats that are very overly priced. Overall it's a lovely park for picnics, jogging and walks. Lovely playground area with swings, slides and climbing frames. There's plenty to keep the kids entertained. Cartwright Hall attracts a lot of visitors as well as school trips. There is a beautiful Mughul Garden with water falls and fountains.
  • Very diverse and well used public park. Best time to go to absorb the serene element is early morning. Lots activities like skyride during weekends.
  • Kind area for spending time on fresh air with family. Nice botanic garden and plenty of grass. Place to play tennis. Saturdays morning you can try Park Run. Good for running but must be prepared for concrete way.
  • Lovely park to wander through, boating lake, cafe. Cartwright Hall Art Gallery well worth a visit to see the latest Hockney exhibition. Thoroughly enjoyed my last visit.
