  • Is nice, big and clean. Plenty of space for the kids to run around. Has a nice art museum too. Lovely pond with ducks and nice walks.

  • Lovely park and arguably the best spot in the city. The park is big so it's ideal for walking or a picnic on a sunny day. The "sensory" garden is an interesting part of the park and you'll be able to hear different types of birds here.
  • Nice big park with good parking, a decent play area and some nice flowers, topiary, statues and sculptures dotted about, particularly around Cartwright Hall. There are a couple of downers though. I've yet to spot a police officer there. I've never had any trouble personally but you often see stories in the paper and due to it's size it's easy to imagine why it might be simple for criminals to pick out vulnerable persons when there's very little or no police presence. Also, the pond is a bit rank, especially at the end furthest from the cafe. That bit is swarming with rats.
  • I love this park so beautiful well maintained and kids loved it too I have been a few times but I've never been able to go in the big building as it's always closed?
  • Great experience in one of the uks best parks. Amazing place for the family.
  • A park for everyone. Basketball and tennis courts, boating pond, children playground, looping streets with variable gradient ideal for safe cycling, lots of wildlife. In winter around Christmas bring your sledge and slide down the slopes. Picnics, park runs on Saturdays, band stand, cafe by the pond, etc, etc, etc.
