  • The Bowmore Distillery visitor’s center and tour are well done. One of the best features is the very comfortable tasting room with a terrific view and well stocked bar where you finish up your tour an...  read more »
  • It was almos the closing time, but we've been welcoming great, and offered a nice quick tasting of all products. Place and view was very nice, great view.
  • Visited Bowmore during Islay Feis week. Chose to avoid the Bowmore open day (each distillery has an open during the Feis) to avoid the crowds. In the tasting room we had great friendly service from th...  read more »
  • A rare piece of Islay heritage with the most friendliest of atmosphere and a view that one would quite happily walk 5000 miles just to see. The wee drams are an added bonus. The highlight of my 28 day holiday. There is a nice you g lady there called Lynn, she will give you the most welcoming hospitality you could ever dream of.
  • Before making our way to the afternoon ferry back to the mainland, my friends and I stopped by the bar in the tasting room upstairs. We didn't have time to do a proper tour of the distillery, but a visit to the bar made us loyal fans of Bowmore. We tasted several of the whiskies that are not readily available in the US market. Lauren, who was helping us, was so friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend a stop by the visitor center.
  • Not the most picturesque of distilleries on Islay, tucked away in the middle of the Bowmore village. But has some of the oldest buildings surviving from the 18th century, steeping it in tradition that makes it worth a visit. They hold the distinction of being the only distillery visited by The Queen. If it's good enough for the Queen...!
  • Islays oldest distillery and one of two on the island still working their traditional floor maltings. Well-kept place and nice tours.
  • Located near the water in an idyllic little village the whisky as well as the tour are amazing. The tasting room offers nice views on the sea
