So many tanks! I mean, I knew this was a museum, but seriously, I don't know how they got that many tanks into the building! It's wonderful here though, unless you don't like tanks, then you wouldn't have a good time on account of all the tanks, why would you go to a tank museum if you didn't like tanks though? I hope you didn't go with someone who did like tanks because you probably ruined their day. Shame on you. I know your type.
Very detailed and interesting museum! A wide array of armoured vehicles and tanks were on display, some of which are the only ones left. That makes this museum really unique. However, there were quite a few tanks in the conservation area, which is only accessible during Tankfest. Just remember that your favourite tank might not be on display as it is being cared for. Do go to Tankfest and visit the museum the day after; you won't have time for both in one day! Highly recommended.
Really engaging day, friendly and helpful staff and the museum is well laid out. Even if you are only visiting for the museum and not one of the events there is an enormous amount of things to see. Allow at least three hours to see everything, the guidebook is a good idea and at £3 is reasonably priced and a good aid to navigating the exhibits. Excellent value for money with your ticket allowing revisits for twelve months. Exhibits provide a good history of tank warfare and the tank regiments and the first World War exhibits were particularly good.
A lovely place to visit for s day out Friendly staff, tours throughout the day Many many tanks to look at and even sit inside The attractions like the ww1 part ate very realistic and well made There's also free WiFi (if you can find a strong enough signal) The food is good and a reasonable price with many choices Disabled access throughout And it's gift aid elegable when they ask you at the till Plus you automatically get a yearly access pass for the normal admission price Well worth a visit
