  • Really enjoyed our visit to the museum with our 4 year old. The trail kept her entertained and engaged. There was loads to see.
  • I was interested in going to this place because who doesn't like tanks?! It has everything you could wish to know about how they can about to how they are now. Food was okay, pricey but you do expect ...  more »
  • Simply, this museum has just about everything to do with tanks. The full extent of the actual tanks on display is staggering, you need a big day to see it all properly. From the first tanks of WW1, ev...  more »

  • Had so much fun walking around and exploring. Plenty to see and learn. The show was good fun to watch and you can go for a ride in a tracked people carrier. You can't go inside many of the tanks but some have cut away sections so you can see inside. The ticket price includes an annual pass so you can go back any time within a year which we will definitely be doing.
  • Amazing museum on Tanks! Amazing set of interactive displays and all the tanks you could imagine! The World War 2 German tanks were especially awesome up close! Worth the visit! Vrry helpful and friendly staff too! Taxi from Wool station is £6 each way. Remember to get the taxis number as this is the best way to get back to Wool station if coming by train!
  • An extensive museum charting the history of the tank with a vast number of different examples on display. Some very good themed exhibits and during the summer there are live driving demonstrations. A good restaurant provides light meals and snacks including breakfast so get there early and avoid the queues!
  • Just the best day out if you like tanks. The outside show is very good and I really enjoyed it. Really good museum that is pretty interactive. Very good family day out for all ages.
  • Far bigger and more modern than we expected. Apparently rated as Dorset's #1 attraction and we can see why. My son and i visited and we easily spent 6 hours onsite. That said, we were VERY lucky and were invited to take part in the daily 1pm vehicle display in the arena. We had the pleasure of a ride in an armoured personnel carrier and had to go and capture the enemy tank. Lots of fun and a day to remember. Not many people will get to do what we did, but there are still rides available in a tracked vehicle and it was also possible to go sit in a chieftain tank on the day we visited, which we also did. A great way to get up close to and gain an insight into both the vehicles themselves and those who fight in them. All visitors also get an annual pass. A great day out, highly recommended.
