  • Fantastically laid out HUGE museum. Lots to see and good also for kids. A couple of cafes are right there too, along with a soft play area for the kids to go crazy in. The only slightly disappointing thing was that you couldn't go in the tanks, except for one. Not a deal breaker for an adult, but kids will be a bit disappointed - however there is a WWI tank they can climb in and have a look around. Great day out none the less. When you're done, you aren't forced to fight your way through the gift shop. The gift shop itself is located at the entrance and nicely out of the way. It's huge too, with tonnes of good stuff, so worth a visit - but on your own terms. Also, if you buy a ticket, it's good for an entire year. Go as many times as you please.
  • Oh my god, this place is huge. We have been here twice in a year now thanks to the ticket price covering entry for 12 months. We only had a few hours for this trip so we only covered 10% of the exhibits, so plan to spend an entire day there and not even see everything. They do a great job at telling the stories of tank regiments without glorifying war. The Afghanistan section is my favourite with some excellent stories and machinery.
  • Nice introduction to the history of tank and development, followed by a good presentation of information and showcase of the tanks themselves. I particularly like the section the Story of Tanks where it focuses on a smaller selection that are more significant in their own right and provides us with a deeper look of its "story". Anyone that interested in tank would easily spend a whole day there. Free parking, annual admission, highly recommended.
  • A brilliant large collection of armoured vehicles and tanks from WW1 to present day, and associated militaria. Lots of I formation on all the exhibits, and a live show of select vehicles in the outdoor arena during the high season. Plenty of parking, and indoor or outdoor seating for picnics. All areas are accessible. Cafe available on site, which served some really nice coffee too. An all day activity for an enthusiast, or half day for the curious.
  • Have been many times and it's always a great place to be. Easy to walk around and you get a great view of what must be hundreds of tanks and armoured vehicles. The live displays are always good to watch, especially if they have the Tiger tank running. The cafe and shop are both very good also.
