It seemed to me to be not a lot more than one big marble run, a room of pottery displays and a lot of shopping opportunities. If there was more, sign posting is lacking. Very disappointed as the broch...  more »

  • Small but perfectly formed and that's not just the marbles. This place is a lovely place to both visit and shop. The marble runs are fun whatever age you are, and the glass blowing studio is easy to access and facinating to watch. There is an excellent tea rooms with attractive outside seating area, and a well equipped safe play area. Ample parking and well located. As I say not a huge place but well worth a visit
  • You can see glass being shaped into objects and learn about the process. Large displays of games from past times and a shop selling a huge range of current products. The ceramics museum is a comprehensive collection of Cornish and Devonshire pottery and well worth seeing. There is a cafe with photos relating to the pottery industry and a lovely outdoors area. A rewarding experience, something for all ages!
  • Great place to visit, plenty of interest for all ages... I didn't realise there was a play park/area here until our most recent visit with kids! Great stuff! The glass blowing demos were great!
  • Very accessible by coach and car with free parking. Interesting glass-blowing demos with mezzanine viewing gallery to provide more space. Good gift shop where you can buy marbles from 10 pence to 400 GBP! Museum on-site too.
  • The marble runs are very cool, especially the giant one that covers an entire wall. They all have a number of routes the marbles can take and the previous marble triggers which route will be open next. The large run had at least 4 or 5 routes and it took quite a while for marbles to get around them all. I think there were 5 small runs and the big one, but it would be nice if there were some more. I didn't get to see any glass making while I was there but the glass sculptures that were for sale were extremely impressive and beautiful. I'd really recommend a visit, especially since it's completely free!
