Cotswold Motoring Museum, Bourton-on-the-Water

4.6
Discover an extensive collection of motoring memorabilia and toys from the 20th century at Cotswold Motoring Museum. The museum features a large collection of vintage and classic cars and motorcycles, campers, and original enamel motoring signs. Listen for period music as you peruse photos and items from past eras, most notably the extensive toy collection. Housed in the museum is "Brum," from the popular BBC children's television series; you can make a brass-rubbing of the car as a souvenir. The museum also displays periodically changing motoring exhibitions. Don't be fooled by the appearance: The museum is much larger than it seems from the outside. • We thoroughly enjoyed spending an hour or so going round this extensive collection of motoring memorabilia, despite the fact that it was a snowy day and it was almost as cold inside as it was outside!...  more »
  • This museum is definitely worth an hour of your time - full of old cars/transportation and they take you back through time. Lots of fun facts. And, of course, you can get a picture with Brum.  more »
  • A real Aladdin’s cave with endless memorabilia to view. Amazing facts of classic cars too. A must see!  more »

  • Highly highly recommend. Fantastic museum well worth it. You can even take your dog into the museum. Love how close you can get to all exhibits. For a small museum it is packed full of exhibits. As soon as you walk through the door your transported back in time with the smells signs etc. There are exhibits literally from floor to ceiling. From retro signs to cars, bikes, caravans and everything inbetween. All the staff were really friendly. Well worth a visit. I love this place.
  • Fanatic man that has collected and renovated a lot of old vehicles! They look very good! He also has a store at the front where you can buy iconic items! Wish it was a bit bigger, as the space to walk and look was quite small..
  • Great value for money. It was great to see the old cars. The display was good, felt as though we had gone back in time. Staff friendly.
  • Amazing place. We all so surprised by the cars, all the details around the experience and how they made it interactive for children as well. Loved the owners who allowed us to enter 30 min before closure time, they offered lots of details about the place and in the end they didnt even charge us for the tickets. Thank you! Great place! Will definitely come back to take our time and go through the place.
  • Fantastic little museum that just goes on and on. A lot of thought has gone into the presentations and the displays are very good.
