Cotswold Motoring Museum, Bourton-on-the-Water
(4.6/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Discover an extensive collection of motoring memorabilia and toys from the 20th century at Cotswold Motoring Museum. The museum features a large collection of vintage and classic cars and motorcycles, campers, and original enamel motoring signs. Listen for period music as you peruse photos and items from past eras, most notably the extensive toy collection. Housed in the museum is "Brum," from the popular BBC children's television series; you can make a brass-rubbing of the car as a souvenir. The museum also displays periodically changing motoring exhibitions. Don't be fooled by the appearance: The museum is much larger than it seems from the outside. • Thought we'd pop in as we were in the town and weren't expecting a huge amount, but were very pleasantly surprised! A lovely selection of cars and artifacts, all nicely presented and with lots of interesting facts and figures around them. If we had one complaint it would be I quite liked a t-shirt in the gift shop but they didn't have it in the right size.
  • A real treasure trove of transport related (and other) memorabilia. No matter how many times you visited I am sure you would spot something you had not seen before. Highly recommended.
