Thought it was a shopping mall, but turned out to be a retail park. Lots of brand name stores, Boots, Next, Argos, M&S, New Look, Gap ect but felt a bit too industrial for my liking. Lakeland was acro... read more »
This is a large shopping centre with a good variety of shops all on one level, until you get inside some, then there are two floors. There is plenty of free parking. There are plenty of eateries nearb... read more »
In the olden days when I was knee high to a giraffe, I used to purchase my Chuck Norris posable action figures from what used to be Wool co or the Hampshire Centre. I remember that they were said to h... read more »
Great place for clothes but the variety of the high street shops available is a bit limited. Hopefully with the work going on downstairs, more retail units will open up in the future and allow for more variety to make it a more competitive retail experience. The vast two-story car park is held up by extra supports which is always a bit worrying and looks dreadful, but again hopefully with more shops they will be able to improve the aesthetics downstairs to the standard you find above.
Castlepoint is a good place to shop especially if you're looking for clothes or food. With a wide range of shops and 2 supermarkets we think it's great especially when Christmas shopping. The parking is plentiful but can get busy at peak times.
Castlepoint is a very large retail park with shops on two sides of a large car park. It is convenient with a very good selection of shops. The shops are all of the very large kind so you find a large variety of choice. Sainsburys, Asda with a Macdonalds inside, M&S, TK Max, Game, Thorntons, Lakeland out front on the main road, to name just a few I regularly visit. Castlepoint is a local favourite.
The shops here are OK but the parking is terrible. There was a problem with the car park shortly after construction and it has never been resolved. Inadequate spaces due to large areas being closed off. Unless you get here at 9am on a weekday it is impossible to park. The 2 access roads are also inadequate resulting in difficulty and delays in getting out onto the always busy Castle Lane.
Great free parking good choice of shops and a big M&S, Sainsburys and Asda
