Bournemouth Pier, Bournemouth

3.0
Take a walk down this Bournemouth landmark and breathe in the sea air. Entertain yourself with video games and traditional coin pushers, and try to win a cuddly toy with the cranes at the arcade situated at the entrance to the pier. As you stroll down Bournemouth Pier, read the information about its history, look out for surfers battling the waves, and check out the traditional pier theater. Once you reach the end, you can relax at the cafe. There’s even more fun for young ones at the children’s amusements. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Bournemouth holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Bournemouth Pier and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Play amusements but don't expect to win anything. All of the tipping machines have huge piles of 2p or 10p that look as if they are about to fall. But they are so heavy with coins they don't move and ...  more »

  • Decent pier as they go. You have to pay to get on the pier but it's a 12 month ticket if you can avoid losing it! Usual sort of stuff on there (amusements, sweet shop etc) and a really nice place to eat and drink. We.only had coffee but saw really good looking fish and chips being served and filled baguette's which I'd have gone for if we didn't have half board at our hotel!
  • There is just something magical about being able to walk out over the sea and pass the time.... especially if there are surfers to watch! Some entertainment and a place to eat pizza and lots of seating along the pier. We didn't try any of this as it was too cold when we were there but I'd say a little updating wouldn't go amiss. 😊
  • Loved this place! The water is relatively cold even in the summer, but apparently, it only bothers foreigners aha! Oh, and there is a great fish and chips close by. Moreover, they have fabulous fireworks in the summer. The only bemol is that it is relatively cold even in summer (still warmer than London though)
  • They Charge you almost £1.30 in summer time just to walk on the Pier? But it's absolutely Free to walk on the Worthing Pier or the Brighton Pier. You can't even buy Candyfloss or ice cream on this Pier unlike the Brighton Pier! The Greedy Bastard Councils, will be charging you to breathe Fresh Air next!!!!
  • Visiting a friend in Bournemouth so took a walk along the beach & onto the pier. Was lovely as few people around so took photos & admired the view. There is a restaurant on the pier that was open for breakfast so went in for a cuppa. Lovely way to spend a sunny January morning.
