Pier / Boardwalk Tourist Spot
Take a walk down this Bournemouth landmark and breathe in the sea air. Entertain yourself with video games and traditional coin pushers, and try to win a cuddly toy with the cranes at the arcade situated at the entrance to the pier. As you stroll down Bournemouth Pier, read the information about its history, look out for surfers battling the waves, and check out the traditional pier theater. Once you reach the end, you can relax at the cafe. There’s even more fun for young ones at the children’s amusements. • One of the great places to relax and spend time alone. Prices to get in just 1.20 which is not bad. Great views as well.
  • Indoor climbing center ok for kids plus has the zip wire over the sea. It has a few rides for kids as well and a nice cafe but nothing special
  • Lovely location. Food in the bar was superb and the staff really friendly.
  • In the summer you have to pay to enter pier but winter is usually free. Zip wire is really good. Can often see surfers and jet skiers which is great.
  • Great beach, but don't let the golden soft sand fool you as it's full of broken glass. The council should provide more bins on the beach so people can disguard their bottles and rubbish.

Where to stay in Bournemouth

For a relaxing experience near Bournemouth's major attractions, book your rooms at a "country house" hotel in the very heart of this picturesque coastal town. Located inside heritage-rich buildings, these hotels are renowned for their luxurious rooms, excellent customer service, and outstanding contemporary cuisine. As a more affordable but no less comfortable option, consider staying at one of many boutique hotels, which feature modern bistros with indoor and outdoor seating, and menus that source fresh ingredients from local suppliers.
