  • Only a few free seats but you can hire a deck chair. Be aware that you only have to buy one admission ticket which lasts the whole season at a pound a time. We got caught out and were buying a ticket ...  more »
  • Just a quick look around but nice to see not too commercialised with music blaring out and loads of rides so quite pleasant if your not into funfairs on a pier
  • Nice summer and winter, we have the impression of being on a ship slicing through the waves. The piers are a piece of British culture that lack us here.

  • Bournemouth would not be Bournemouth without the pier. A lovely place to stroll over the sea and watch the world of water sports go by. The pier is great at all times of the year, but it is at its best in the Summer when the paddle steamer Waverley visits, a real blast from the past. Great views along the coast and there is a reasonable, but quite pricey, cafe bar at the end of the pier.
  • I grew up here, it has changed a lot, mostly in a good way. As you can imagine, this place gets really busy during events i.e. fireworks night, wheels festival and the airshow. The pier started a urning for more, when they put up the historical photos along the pier along the boardwalk, they should be expanded it further inland, so that people can always be reminded of how it once looked before the local council's allowed people to build monstrosity after monstrosity.
  • The pier is a lovely place to take a walk along. It's only about £1 per person so just loose change and is a well maintained pier. It has a nice big cafe at the end of it, a long zip wire to the beach and an indoor adventure centre for the kids and some adults. It is well worth the money to take a stroll along. It also has some great views looking back at the Bournemouth coast.
  • Went here to do zipline, not as good a pier as Brighton as Brighton has a better arcade and games but Bournemouth has a zipline tbf. Very nice sea view and stretches out far for a full set only view.
  • Great big pier with free access most of the time. A range of attractions and cafes on the pier, including Zip line, carousel, indoor climbing an historical information available. Great off season when its a bit quieter,
