  • Site of the filming of Poldark and well with a visit for the history of mining in Cornwall. Great walks and scenery but on the day we visited very cold and windy. Road signs not good and Google direct...  more »
  • The old Tin mines are spectacular on the cliffs above the sea. With the information and maps from the Info Center, walk along the sea and enjoy the magnificent view. In addition, you can learn all sorts of interesting things about the work in the mines. The mines is a tourist attraction, which is maintained by the national trust. There are parking spaces and a small information centre, where one can get information on the mines but also light snacks, coffee and tea. The Lady on the spot was incredibly nice and helpful and told very much about the mines, including the television series "Poldark" us which was completely unknown to us. "Poldark" fans a visit here is a must, but he is also all others necessarily to the heart to lay. It is really a beautiful place.
