Widely regarded as one of the finest houses in Cornwall, Lanhydrock House and Garden is a late-Victorian estate featuring extensive servants’ quarters, sprawling green lawns, gardens, and thickly wooded areas. A fine example of a wealthy but unpretentious Victorian family home, the site’s kitchens offer a rare glimpse into the fascinating life "below stairs." Conversely, the large dining rooms and luxurious bedrooms introduce visitors to the elegant lifestyle once enjoyed by the Agar-Robartes family, the mansion’s former owners. Over 20,000 items are on display here, including original art and furniture. Explore over 50 rooms open to the public, and be sure to visit the site’s museum and secondhand bookshop. Lanhydrock House and Garden reviews
Wow an amazing looking place what a shame we couldn’t see inside & the gardens were shut all due to Covid. The park land is beautiful with great walks wish there were more signs posts & free maps in..... more »
An interesting house with a wonderful long gallery, this house has plenty to see. Lanhydrock house is one of my favourite National trust properties and the gardens are a delight to walk around. more »
A beautiful house, well maintained, disappointing that only a few rooms open, would love to return and see it in it's full glory. Because of the weather we didnt do a garden tour more »
I hired a tamper scooter for the day which was fantastic. We could spend all day out in the woods and down by the river, as I haven't been able to walk there for the last 6 years. A wonderful gluten free roll in the cafe for lunch then a wonderful gluten free brownie in the stable cafe late afternoon. We had a marvellous day cant wait to go again
Great house and tranquil gardens. Could do with a little more signage. Would definitely go again
Impressive house and gardens. A good day out .Bikes can be hired best before the visit as are popular.
Probably one of the finest NT properties in England with huge grounds with river and woods - lovely for dog walking - restaurant And two cafes
Lots to see and do. You can explore the grounds and on a sunny day it's absolutely beautiful
