Arrived and waited at the bar for 10 minutes until the barman muttered about going to a table. Coke was flat, starter was good but the main meal, the Cheesewring Pork, was overcooked, tough and chewy. A huge disappointment considering they put their name on it. Our other meal, the chili con carne, was cold and bland. Patrons using the bathroom were heard from the restaurant, which greatly put us off. We wouldn't return, despite being situated in a great location with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Go to the Crow's Nest 10 minutes down the road instead.
Nice friendly staff. Ate lunch which was good pub food. Welcoming place. Overall a good experience, would visit again.
As in a previous post, service and attitude ok if you live in area, but mention you're a Tourist and you might as well go somewhere else. Shame because it's a lovely area.
Fab food and reasonably swift service, although they did forget my tea even after being reminded
Beautiful scenery. Full of history remote mining community
