Great venue with good facilities- though the spa could do with an update, best massage ever thanks to Nicola, stunning location, lovely surrounding area, food varied - some good, some very poor, helpful friendly and professional staff, entertainment very old fashioned.
A wonderful Hotel set in beautiful Welsh countryside. Our room was of a fair size with a massive bed on which I slept very well. The staff are all very well trained to be very amenable, friendly and polite. The only thing that let things down a bit for us was the food. Breakfast was great but some of the evening meals we had were not so great.
The place is excellent. Food was fantastic with a wide selection of choices at all meals. Entertainment was good and there is a quiet bar if you don't fancy it. Plenty of activities to keep you occupied and a really nice woodland walk in the grounds if you fancy some peace and quiet. Room was excellent, very clean and a nice patio area outside the french doors.
Hotel great, cafe service during day nor good. Getting order wrong and food was cold
My family are annual members of the castle. There is loads to learn about the history, huge gardens to walk in, a playground for kids as well as indoor Victorian games and puzzles for everyone. There is even an old Victorian style school.
