  • I used to go here to ice skate, have lessons and socialise so have great memories but when I wanted to introduce my child to ice skating I bought tickets for a show. Unfortunately due to breaking my b...  more »
  • We came to see an ice hockey game on Sunday. £22 for a family ticket! Bargain! The atmosphere was fantastic, the kids loved it and so did we. Great evening out  more »
  • My son recently had lessons here £60 for 6 sessions, sounds pricey but that included gloves, boot covers, skate hire and entry to public skate after. Instructors were nice, though a couple of times th...  more »
  • No complaints about the building or staff, or hire skates (I have my own) but the ice was in a very poor state. A few weeks ago I went to the Fylde Coast Ice Arena and the contrast couldn't have been greater, (although that is slightly smaller at 26metres as against 30). There the ice was perfect!
  • I used to love this place, but the truth is that it has been going downhill for years. My most recent visit was with my 4 year old son. I have my own skates and he hired a pair, it cost us £20+ for the two of us to skate for 1hr and 45 minutes. The queue wasn't all that big on the way in, maybe 15 people - it still took us 30 minutes to get into the rink because there was one lady on the booth sorting out admissions. I was also shocked to see that there is a surcharge of £1 for card payments - this didn't appear to be advertised anywhere. After queueing for half a hour, and having no cash on me, I begrudgingly agreed to pay the surcharge. The ice has certainly seen better days with bumps and and holes - the centre of the ice undulates, it's that bad. It all seems to be geared towards taking as much money from you as they can, and putting nothing back into the venue. It used to cost around £5 for one to skate, so I've no idea where the price hike has come from. I'll be taking my skates to one of the several emerging rinks in future - Widnes, Poulton, Altrincham...
  • Great facility but ice shockingly unlevel
  • Que was very long at start of the 2pm session. Needed more staff members to process's the Que. Once inside everything was fine. Kids loved it 2md time we've been. Good day out. Bring own drinks as the ones from the vending machine are very expensive.
  • Went to parent and toddler session. The customer experience from first point of contact enquiring on the phone to handing back the skates was brilliant. Never been before or even skated, everybody friendly and helpful, even spectators. Can't comment on the rink not sure how it should be!
