  • A really interesting place. A knowledgeable tour guide had my 5 and 6 year old fascinated, especially when they had the chance to start and stop the water wheel and test out some of the other mechanisms. Would definitely go back again if we were in the area.
  • We called in and were immediately given an excellent guided tour by a very knowledgeable and pleasant young man. Jack works there all year round (but visits only available in summer). Highly recommend this for an informative visit and a chance to purchase some excellent beremeal, oatmeal, or flour as well a recipe book to inspire you. There is no charge for the tour, but donations welcome. Believe me, you will be happy to donate!
  • The guide there was a lovely man who knew his stiff. As in Orkney set beautiful place. Would go again just to get flour
  • One of only two working mills of its type in Scotland. Tour is free and seeing how this water mill works across the three floors is magical.
  • Excellent and interesting place to visit. Make sure you try some of the beremeal products the biscuits are extremely good.
