(4.8/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Roam through Winterbourne House and Garden, an Edwardian property heavily influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. On the ground floor of the house, learn about its previous occupants and their importance in the community through interactive exhibits. Climb the stairs and see how the inhabitants would have lived in the period-furnished rooms. Outside, amble through the 3 hectare (6 acre) botanical garden, home to over 6,000 plant species from around the world. The souvenir shop stocks a range of locally produced items, such as pottery and Winterbourne-grown produce. There is also a secondhand bookshop on site. Visit the terrace tearoom for tea, cakes, and meals. You are also welcome to bring a picnic with you.
