  • First visit this year after such a long, cold dark winter. The weather was superb for this spectacular view of Winterbourne House & Garden. The variety colours and freshness of the blooming flowers and trees make the place a peaceful and tranquil location. Quietly enjoying a cup of tea with a scone/cream/jam at the end of the trip, simply good!!
  • Beautiful gardens enjoyed by our whole family. My 5 & 2 year olds love exploring, looking at the flowers & plants. There is plenty to keep them occupied without the need for a playground. I love how each time we go there is something new to see, even if it's only been a week!
  • We always visit Winterbourne whenever we are in Birmingham. It is a really relaxing place to spend an afternoon. It is really close to the centre of Birmingham and yet so peaceful. The gardens are beautiful in any season and really well cared for. The house is an Edwardian museum, a must for fans of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement. It was home to a prominent Birmingham businessman and his large family and the exhibition inside gives touching insight into their lives there. There is a lovely tea room, a craft shops and an art gallery but the real draw is the gardens. There is an amazing variety of plants, trees and flowers.
  • Our visit was very enjoyable. The history surrounding the house was interesting, and the gardens were beautiful. We also had lunch which was delicious and not expensive. My daughter is a student at Birmingham University, admission for her is free. She goes there often with friends to enjoy the peace and quiet, and when the weather allows, they like to study in the gardens.
  • Tea and food available a must once walking around the grounds. Lovely to visit all year round, bees were out in early march and birds in the lime trees too. The house has some interesting details about the family that lived there.
