  • Lovely area for walking with fine open views of surrounding countryside. A nice visitor centre with cafe and covered area for picnicking in the rain!  more »
  • Had a lovely day. Dog show, arts and crafts for the kids, magic shows. Kids had a lovely time. I just think it wasn't very well advertised.  more »
  • This is a lovely, large country park and we will certainly be going back next year - probably at bluebell time. The area is criss-crossed with public footpaths and bridleways and has two signed walks,...  more »

  • Definitely dog-friendly, and a great place for kids as there is an outdoor playground and also a cafe. Regarding walks, be mindful that it is quite muddy and some footpaths have been cut off, so bring along a pair of walking boots! Overall a very scenic country park.
  • Nice little park. Large picnic area, shaded areas and undercover area. Lots of tracks to explore through fields great for youngsters that like to explore!
  • Great little natural play area for 2-14 year olds with a cafe and toilets open all year round. Very muddy in the winter so wear boots or wellies. We haven't ventured on any of the walks yet but we'll be back once the weather improves as they look fun for all the family. Big dog walking area too from the amount of walkers we saw. Plenty of benches and outdoor seating areas. Perfect for picnics in the warmer weather. Car park charges apply.
  • Beautiful open countryside. Best dog walking in the area. Cafe to provide refreshments after a good walk.
  • First time to the park to do some sledging. Didn't know carpark was pay and display and didn't have a single penny in my purse. Went into cafe and asked if I would get a ticket and they weren't sure but suggested I ask the Ranger. Made my way to the offices and found a man that I believed worked or lived there. Told him my situation and he kindly gave me the 80p to park for 1 hour. Thank you so much and we truly enjoyed our hour there!!!
