  • this was our first time to Selfridges in birmingham we had a great time looking around and did the last of our christmas shopping there we will go back next year
  • Selfridges is one of the best department stores in UK, it has many brands. There is a nice Indian restaurant in the same building.
  • I must admit to being a little nervous as other outposts (Harvey Nichols in Birmingham I'm looking at you) aren't all that good, but Selfridges has a great range in store and many other facilities. A ...  more »

  • Incredible architecture resulting in a fairly big Selfridges department. Many shops on offer (most with premium price tags) and definitely worth the walk around. The food Hall is impressive offering a lot of tastes in a small area.
  • Terrible , worst customer service ever!! The fragrance department is horrible!! pretentious and rude staff judge you!! It lacks personality and elegance , I'd rather go Harrods!!
  • Absolutely appalling 'customer service'. Made a complaint about a recent Mont Blanc Pen I brought after there was no stamp in the whole of the store to verify my purchase. After several visits in and out of store and having made a complaint about the different lies I was told on each visit, I was very unfortunately greeted by an incompetent ‘Customer Service’ representative; who decided to ask me some very stupid questions, some along the lines of ‘would you like to fill this book out yourself or shall I do it’. As she didn’t know the product code, she told that I would need to go upstairs myself and get this – even after she supposedly received three calls from the manager ensuring I was ‘looked after’ and the fact that she was a customer service representative and she was also standing right next to a computer. As I was dealing with several different managers during this long winded process, I was told that I would have three of my parking charges refunded back to me. Cutting a long story short three parking charges as a minimum equate to £7.50 (£2.50 per hour). Having worked out that maths isn’t this managers strongest subject, she decided to refund all parking charges that somehow worked out to be less than that amount, when questioned about it, an answer was not given - a email was also sent which proved she would do this but they went back on that. I also got the opportunity to speak to the deputy manager of the store who told me she knew nothing about the situation, but then ironically 3 minutes into me explaining what had happened all of sudden knew a few facts, she was also no help to the situation, when I questioned her about the level of customer service given and her thoughts on the situation she also didn’t give me a reply. She did in fact tell me her customer service staff were not aware of what to do in regards to filling out this particular booklet, to which I replied they then obviously need more training and are not good at their jobs. She then told me that this was not the case and that they are in fact competent – something I found quite contradictory. I then put a further complaint in about the whole situation to which nothing has been resolved – which I was predicting anyway. But every Selfridge’s staff member that I had spoken to somewhat funnily agrees with everything I am saying.
  • Liked shopping here. Found some good stuffs at reasonable price.
  • Nice shop with lots of premium brands. Service is not always the best
