Hall Green Dogs Stadium, opened in 1927 as Birmingham’s first ever Greyhound stadium, holding up to 3,000 people. With its 412 metre long oval track, complete with outside terrace along the main straight, indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the track, an a la carte restaurant and several bars, it is the number one night out in South Birmingham!

With the option of great suite hire to Entertain or Party in exclusivity and pay nothing for room hire as it’s included in the price!

Greyhound racing was developed from coursing in 18th-century Britain. The first official coursing club was the Swaffham Coursing Society in Norfolk, England, which put on its first event in 1776, with the journey it created it soon became a phenomenon. By the end of 1927 the company had acquired an interest in 18 racing tracks.

Its relationship to many of these tracks was affiliation, rather than full ownership. Nonetheless, in November 1927, just two years after the company was formed they were able to report that 4,500,000 people had passed through their turnstiles giving gross receipts of £500,000.

  • This is a fun night out with friends. You can have a laugh having a small wager or not. Plenty of bars and places to get food inside. Nice evening out!
  • A decent night out. I would give four stars, but I felt drinks were overpriced.
  • Had a enjoyable evening with All my family shame it's closing for good afternoon tea end of the month
  • What a night get there quick
  • We've been going as a group at Christmas every year for the last 10 year's. The food has gone downhill from what it used to be. Altogether the service is good but food is what you pay for.
