  • Attended the Barclaycard Arena to watch Jean Michele Jarre. I was expecting the usual arena format based of your average Russian Gulag building...Concrete walls and floors, rock hard cramped seating a...  read more »
  • The doors to the venue didn't open until 6.35 for a 7.30 start. What was supposed to be disabled friendly seats were anything but, and if it hadn't been for Ruth, the very good hostess, exchanging our...  read more »
  • Went to watch Jean Michel Jarre. We had pre-paid parking. The car park was easy to find, clearly signed. Right next to the arena and a lot cheaper than parking in other arenas we have visited. The are...  read more »
  • The Barclaycard Arena was I feel a good venue to see a band or show, however if you are not familiar with Birmingham city center I think a few more signs as you near the venue are needed. The parking on the other hand is certainly not up to standard . Although you can pre- book your parking when you purchase your tickets, this does not help with leaving the multistory car park. The first time I was there it took 1.5 hours to reach the groundfloor exit of the car park and the second time with pre- paid parking just over the hour. Improvement in parking needed.!
  • Went to see the band Muse. There was a lack of signs outside identifying which entrance was for which type of ticket. Lots of people wandering around, looking confused as to which entrance to use - this could use improvement. Once inside signposting and layout was very clear. The arena itself was nicely set up, with an outer layer selling refreshments, food and met merchandise and the agenda itself inside that layer. The food was much better than I'm used to at these kind of venues and they were quite happy to allow you to take your food into the actual arena (I'm referring to the standing area - I have no experience with the seated). Drinks weren't cheap (4 to 4.50 a pint but that's par for the course with these kind of venues and they were competitive with other venues of the type. There was parking on site which was very convenient but there was an extended wait trying to get out due to the number of vehicles leaving at one time. Once we were out of the building there wasn't any major difficulties leaving the city - it coped well with the volume of traffic. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. The body search was the most thorough I've experienced at a venue but it was done in a friendly and professional manner and with current events being as they are it was actually reassuring to see such a professional security team. The band incidentally were exceptional 😀
  • Found venue very good, however the after gig parking can take ages to clear - pay a bit extra for priority parking, it is well worth it. Staff were excellent, and we were offered the opportunity to move to better seats as the gig was not full. Food was good quality and reasonably priced
  • I enjoyed the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championship here. Very organized and accessible place. The lounge is especially nice and as a Barclaycard customer you get all the bells and whistles.
  • What a joy! Brilliant in every way, went to see A-Ha, getting in and out was very easy and quick. All staff acting professional and been very helpful, finding seats is easy, viewing points are brilliant from everywhere. Car parks around are cheap +++
