  • I found this house on line it looked very good and when we visited it was amazing. Loads of history, very good for kids, mine really enjoyed exploring the rooms. Gardens need a bit of attention but it...  more »

  • The site is not of the best designed and we were relied on google maps schedules. Beautiful mansion seen from the outside, and beautiful gardens. No luck, we stumbled upon an exceptional closing for cause of... "football match" (no comment about it). Result: no visit, round-trip train tickets purchased for nothing, lost afternoon. Thanks bad coordination with google.

  • I went a long time ago and it is a wonderful place. There's a great feeling of history to it. I did want to see the whole building but there are doors that are locked and have heard more and more of the house is being locked from the public view so not great
  • I have a lot of great memories of Aston Hall. It's a beautiful house and I really wanted to show my children around and share my stories and my knowledge of the place. On the plus side money has been well spent on it in particular outside where the park and gardens had fallen into disrepair in the past. However, I was very disappointed, especially after paying entry, with how little of the house is on display compared to in the past. I don't mind paying for entry, especially to help the upkeep of this hidden gem of a place, but as it stands it's poor value especially for someone like me who knows just how much there is to see behind the locked doors.
  • Very interesting place. Worth a visit. Very helpful people offering tours and info.
  • Wonderful place to spend the day. A gem in Birmingham. Full of history and friendly staff. Had been several times and never disappoints.
  • Lovely house and gardens (unfortunately didn't see much of them due to the rain). Interesting history as well as knowledgeable and friendly staff. No tours were on when we went so made our own way around, but staff were still spotted around to talk to you where needed. Café was a bit pricey and had very limited options for food, but did the trick. Would love to go again in the better weather.
