  • My kids really love exploring the beautiful garden. On this visit it was decorated for Halloween and there were clues to find and a prize. But even when there are no special events on, there are inter...  more »

  • Lucky with weather. Gardens very enjoyable, though many of the familiar features were closed for maintenance and there was a big clear up after Halloween. Biddulph Grange was a favourite with our chil...  more »

  • Good in spring but not at its best until April. Lots of hidden gems and winding paths to discover. Not really suitable for buggies. Good adventure play area for kids parallel to long walk. Can feel busy easily and hard to find a quiet area in centre of garden so head out to lower grassed areas.
  • Although I really enjoyed my visit today it was overcast with no sun shining. There were a few other visitors but not as many as I have seen there before. Also of course there were very few flowers in bloom which of course makes a big difference. However it is still a great place to walk around and enjoy the lake and the Chinese garden. I will go again in the summer when it will be at its best.
  • You only need half a day to get round the gardens, but they are great fun. Plenty of interesting corners to investigate and very much a great place to bring kids. There are steps, but overall it's fairly flat. Ranging from caves to pagodas you'll have fun.
  • A fantastic place for the kids to play and burn off a little energy in a very well maintained and colourful surroundings. Has a cafe and toilets in the main building with some surprises outside when you walk around the grounds. I wouldn’t say it’s a large estate but very well thought out and if only other estates had half the stuff to do then they would be on a winner. One of the best in the area. National trust, please replicate.
  • Fantastic garden, really well looked after. There were a few groups of small children running around while I was there, but it's big enough I could mostly avoid them. Good cafe with a nice selection of cakes and sandwiches. Really loved the Chinese garden and quirky passages between some areas.
