Hall Place and Gardens Reviews
The house and gardens were lovely, I loved the topiary which I wasn't expecting to see when I looked round the side of the house and the outside of the building was really quite beautiful in parts. We... more »

Great place for a walk in the sun or to take the kids for a run out and a picnic. The house is spectacular too. And it's all free!! There is also a good cafe and occasional art exhibitions. The plants in the large greenhouse are spectacular and there are butterflies and owls too, though a small fee is charged for them. A great local facility, funded by the council.
Hall place & gardens have always been my second home. I have been coming here ever since I was a little kid. Yes things have changed a bit since those days but I absolutely love this place. No matter how often I visit here I will always find something new to photograph. Although you do have to pay to visit the actual house all the rest of the grounds are free. ( although you do have to pay for the butterfly & owl centres ) but these are only optional visiting areas. Hall place has a lovely little tea room right by the river & also nice clean toilets. A well worth visit if you haven't been before and still worth a visit if you have.
Beautiful gardens and greenhouse, loads of open space. A tranquil stream with geese and ducks. A tucked away bird hide. A cafe and small art gallery. A restaurant and plenty of parking. What more could you want...
Great grounds, excellent topiary. Wonderful house with various exhibitions. It used to be free entry to the house but in recent years rather pricy entrance fee means locals can't justify casual visits to soak up the atmosphere. Nevertheless worth a look if visiting for the first time. Must cost a lot in upkeep. Exhibitions can be very interesting.
Had a small function there on the third of October.the staff (especially Claire) went above and beyond to make it special its really nice to deal with people who want to help in every way possible thank you
