We were going there without big expectations but it turned out it was highlight of our holidays in UK. We were there with 3 kids age 5 to 11 and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was so good that w... more »
Went to the park with my 10 year old son - we had a brilliant day! The safari park was fantastic and all the animals were visible and active - we did go in the park at 10am - the only animal we didn't... more »
We had a fantastic day at the park earlier in the week with my family. The animals are wide ranging and also well cared for. One worry was the size of the tiger enclosures which did seem too small? I'... more »
Been going here since I was a kid. But I have never been so disappointed as I was the last couple of times, but this was far the worst. It should be called a deer park practically as that seems to be what most of the animals are now. It seems everything is being pinned on the white lions as that's the only decent enclosure now that they moved the tigers out of. We went around the animals at 3pm knowing that the last entrance into them is 5pm. But most of the had been or were in the process of being put away for the day. Even as we were leaving they were still letting people go in knowing they'd put the animals away. When we complained all we got was a shrugged shoulder. We won't be going back unless it improves substantially.
Highly recommended for families! There's a lovely safari park and rides for all family. All staff was very friendly and professional especially Chris and his colleague at the river log boat ride . The rides are close to each other so there is no wasted energy. Food is alright for a park and we got vouchers to comeback free. What more can we want?
Fun day out for the family, you can use Tesco vouchers to get in and can pay separately for the amusement rides later though it's much cheaper to buy a packaged wrist band. The is a room with free flying bats and another with free flying parrots who will come and sit on your arm which was super fun. Didn't try the food as we took a packed lunch.
Fab day out for the whole family, the drive through Safari is awesome, takes about 90 mins as the giraffe section is slow, grab a box or two of food on the way in and the whole trip is such a good laugh. The kids were buckled when the animals try and stick their heads in the windows. After the Safari, you can use the fair to continue the days entertainment. Only negative is the additional cost for the rides, not the cheapest. Overall a great day, all you need is the sun !
Well, about safari itself dramatic changes since 2010, most buffaloes gone and all planes shows no life, no wolves anymore instead of them some ginger fox-like dogs.No kangaroos, only goats, deers all kinds. There's still few camels, bulls, zebras and giraffes left,3 lovely elephants, rhinos, beautiful white lions, few cheetahs and tigers behind the fence. Maybe it's only to me, but I think used to be a lot more to see. The most exciting of safari was the feeding giraffes, terrible queue . Also years ago sea lions was showing sharks in a pool, not anymore, lots of girl talking instead. Massive improvement of the park is the dinosaur park, kids love this, very interesting there, also lovely rainbow parrots jumping on your head, that's fantastic impression of the park too. Amusement park since last 7 years got much bigger and more interesting, and the admission price increased almost twice as well. We have been very unlucky both times we've been there, because wild river rafting was out of use and twister half day closed as well in April and June both times. Free return ticket is very helpful and paying £11 for rides wistband not too bad, only at Zambia river ride we go 10 times, that was real fun, shame it's closes quite early, especially for summer. Really pricey food and drinks, so bring your own picnic as there is lots of picnic benches, I wish in really hot days like last weekend +30 and no clouds all or at least few benches need to be located in shades. Would recommend also book in advance online and receive lovely 30% off. If ignoring posts saying DO NOT FEED, and still want to feed camels or zebras, be careful they bites!!! Overall lovely place to visit, especially first time, would recommend. Also coming soon the safari academy , I think there will be playground, but I don't know for sure.
