Waterfall Nature / Park
Originally known as the Foaming Waterfall, the cascading waterfall system of Swallow Falls (Rhaeadr Ewynnol) offers dramatic views from various vantage points. Take the hiking trail to the top of the falls, which includes many rest areas for taking pictures or picnicking. While the view is more impressive with more rainfall, it can also make for treacherous footing. The falls are accessible by car or on foot from the nearby town of Betws and Coed. Be sure to carry coins for parking and entrance fees as change is not given. There is a small public house in a hotel across the street if you feel like having a warm drink after the hike. • We visited after heavy rain fall and we thought it was fairly impressive. Need £1.50 (old £1 coin) for the turnstile machine to gain entry.  more »
  • 1.50 adults 50p kids and takes about 15 minutes with 2 photos pints one high and one below it's alright for some lovely photos  more »
  • It won't take you long to see these waterfalls but at £1.50 for an adult - who cares!! It was raining when we visited so they looked even more dramatic. You can park, in the lay-by for free.  more »

  • Loved the falls. Was very picturesque. Just didn't realized needed to pay to view though appreciate work done is what makes view of falls easily accessible. Was damp day so there only briefly. Glad the price was minimal.
  • We have been to Swallow Falls many time as every time it looks different. A lovely spot to take photographs. Betws y Coed is also close by.
  • Wow amazing. We stopped off as we'd never been before. Stunning well worth it.
  • Beautiful scenery with parking by the A5 which runs alongside. I wouldn't go out of my way just for the falls, but with a great Pub serving food opposite and trails nearby, it's a lovely place to refuel or relax and enjoy the sound of water.
  • Really lovely view - just a very short visit trip. Appreciate the need for upkeep but kids should get through for free otherwise its £6 for a family of four for less than 15 minutes visit.
