  • Just lovely for a walk around the lake and in the woods. Parking is free which is a bonus! We’ve never been to the coffee shop as it always seems to be closed when we’re there, but the Blacksmiths in ...  more »

  • Visited bolam lake country park for the first time today with our golden retriever Skye,a very beautiful and peaceful park with beautiful walks around the lake and through the forrest, our Skye loved it. The cafe had lots of very tasty treats to buy but we just had a coffee and a tea which was very refreshing. Loved this place a lot and will be back soon.
  • A great day out for all the family, take a gentle stroll around the lake, look out for the wildlife, red squirrels, water fowl and many colourful birds can be found here, their is also an onsite cafe and public toilets, parking at various points around the lake, car parking is charged at a nominal fee, disabled free in marked allocated spaces.
  • A quiet, simple rural lake and park with walks for all ages and abilities. Parking in three car parks, all without height restrictions. Car parks are locked shut at 7pm. The cafe was closed when we visited.
  • Much improved and pathways cleared out. Toilets clean and open. Biggest plus is free parking
  • Went on a non holiday week day it was lovely. Swans and such on lake. Some amazing wood sculpture. The three piece suite is something to marvel at. Enjoy
