  • I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now I take my kids there. This is only a few miles from Newcastle and pretty close to Belsay. There is a decent amount of parking and it's free to get in. Ther...  more »
  • Nice short walk taking in the lake and beautiful autumn colours. Free parking now as well well done Northumberland council
  • A lovely lake walk with lots of wildlife to see, my only comment was it could do with the cafe being open a bit more often. The kids will love chasing through the trees.

  • Great place for a quiet walk around the lake. Plenty of seating areas to watch the Swans.
  • It was lovely walk around the lake, but let down by the service in the coffee shop. When you can get a high quality coffee from a street vendor, I find it a real shame, that only poor quality filter coffee is offered. The staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, and were not welcoming at all. Poor quality scones that were stale. The only benefit is that it is dry when raining. Bring your own coffee for a lovely walk around the lake.
  • Well maintained quiet and beautiful park, in a nice corner of northumberland
  • Calm and relaxing walking round the lake. Great place.
  • Beautiful park tucked away on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne. With jetties that provide great photo spots, maintained paths to make the walk around the park easy, and lovely fauna and wildlife spread throughout this park is a lovely place to visit with friends, family, or pets.
