  • We have went here for fresh fruit and veg, other times to get something to eat...other times to have a "day out" and finally - to meet visitors to the city on a Sunday morning! Every time - a great experience. It can get busy on the main market days - so we like to go early. Do not expect the fruit to be overly cheap - especially the organic. The prices on some stalls are close to the supermarkets. There are stalls of art, painting, tourist stuff....sweets, teas, coffees and more! Live music on a Sunday is great...as are the Belfast Baps ;-) If you have not had a day here...your missing out!
  • This is one of the best places to visit in Belfast on the weekends. It's hard to beat the variety of stalls available Friday-Sunday but the Sunday market is especially good. From local craft stalls to international food stands, hidden vintage treasures in 'junk' stalls, and live music from local talent it's an atmosphere to behold and an experience you don't want to miss out on. One of the main arteries in the beating heart of thriving Belfast.
  • Really cool, not what I'd originally expected (I'm used to the milk market in Limerick and the market in Galway) it's not as artsy as the markets in Limerick or Galway, much much bigger of course. We remarked that if we lived in Belfast it would be a regular haunt (then again markets are good like that). Amazing selection of fish (but we weren't cooking so didn't partake). Lovely music from a chap on guitar in the centre of the market that really set the tone. Lots of cool stalls with a huge variety of goods. We got a baked coconut cheese cake from a lady there that was divine. And we popped up to the cafe/pub for breakfast which was good but pricey.
  • Love supporting local trades people and our local farmers. Quality products and a terrific atmosphere. And the added bonus of great entertainment
  • Saturday and Sunday are great days to visits. Crafts, antiques and food from the four corners of the world. Yummy
