St Georges market has a good variety of stalls, mostly art but including food, cheeses, clothes and some plants. The stalls vary depending on which day you visit but it is always busy and packed full of people. If you're planning to visit all the stalls, plan at least an hour to get through the heavy crowds and in case you want to buy anything and stand in line. If you're in Belfast it's well worth a quick trip around during a visit.

Great market in the heart of Belfast. A must see for travellers. Fresh Produce and meats on hand. Lots of places to grab a fry or a quick snack. Always a deal on the next table. Don't miss out!

Come here on Fridays for the fish market. Generally good variety on offer. But be careful of which fishmonger you buy off, prices and quality varies. Decent selection of greengrocers here too plus a great butcher that sits on the far side next to the coffee vendor.

This is undoubtedly one of my favourite places to stop when in Belfast. Hop off the train at Central Station. At the exit turn left and walk down the hill and you're pretty much there. St George's Market is always thriving. The moment you arrive your senses are bombarded with an array of sights, sounds and smells! From the freshest of fish, to reviving teas and coffees, to lively music - you won't know where to begin your adventure. Stroll up and down the aisles and enjoy a browse. Take in the local art and photography, enjoy food sampling, check out the bits and bobs for sale, sit and have some craic with the locals and most of all absorb the atmosphere. This is Belfast at its best and is why I frequently return.
